Trail Map and Trail Conditions

Our club takes pride in our Managed Trails. Our volunteers work hard to keep them safe and passable.  If you encounter an unsafe condition please let us know.  Below is a link to a map of our managed trails; not all trails are accessable year round, click on a section of trail for a description and it's current condition.  Our map works with your map application on your smart phone as well!

Riding Tips

You are responsible for the rider behind you!

At all intersections have a look behind you to ensure the rider behind you sees you and sees where you turn.  Make eye contact before proceeding.  If the rider behind you isn't there wait 5 minutes before cautiously backtracking to find them.  If all riders practice this rule no one will ever get left behind!

The pace of the run is set by the ATV in the rear.

Tip of the month:  Early Spring riding conditions, be on the look-out for washouts and open water on the groomed trails and stay off the ice!

Congratulations to Bruce Aubin; he was voted in as a Director at our 3 April meeting. Thank-you for volunteering!

We are making slow but steady progress getting permission to develope a managed trail from the Lincoln Blue Canoe to Oromocto.  The Town has ammended their By-Laws which will allow us to build a trail within municipal limits.  We have permission from the private property owners to build a trail on their land. We have conditional permission from DERD to develope a trail on a portion of the old rail bed and use the bridge over the Oromocto River. The last piece we are working on is a Highway Usage Permit to use the DTI right-of-way along the TCH, Rte 655, and several road crossing points.  This is a slow complex process as there are many user groups and departments involved.  Once we have agreements from all parties then we can start working on building a safe environmentally responsible managed trail.  We are hoping for a grand opening late Summer 2018.

Currently, ATVs are not permitted to ride within municipal limits or on the walking trail and/or old train bridge across the Oromocto river.  If you live in Oromocto please trailer your ATV to our trail head at the Blue Canoe or the Rusagonis Rec Centre to access our trails.
